In the year 1515 the first Rhino set foot in Europe, and one drawing stood out from the rest. 

The inaccuracies of this depiction by Albrecht Dürer, due to the fact that the artist never actually saw the animal but rather drew it from a written description in a letter, resulted in an incredible misrepresentation of the animal, which led him to create, unknowingly, a completely new species.
